If you have been struggling for a while with painful memories, a numbed out feeling, ruminative anxious thoughts, substance abuse or just feel stuck - it isn't your fault or that you are not trying hard enough.
Hypnosis is a powerful learning tool by which we can use our imagination to successfully update our behavior and emotional responses. It is much better when you just instinctively not want to procrastinate rather than trying to quit feeling bad about it, is it not? It is perfectly natural for all of us to have unhelpful traits. They mostly come from the need to defend ourselves. We do not have to be ashamed nor live with it for life!
Hypnosis can help
Hypnosis seeks to change your inner mind. Your outer routine follows as a natural consequence!
Hypnosis for PTSD/Phobias:
When we experience a traumatic episode (single {PTSD} or episodes drawn out over a period of time {C-PTSD}), memories are processed in the brain along the HPA Axis (Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis). A part of the brain called the hypothalamus signals a stress response to release cortisol and adrenalin (pituitary and adrenal gland respectively). A narrow snapshot of the traumatic event is tagged in the brain's emotional processing center. The brain then kicks into protection mode and actively seeks to protect you from anything that vaguely seems like a threat. A traumatic event leaves a wound which spreads and infects every aspect of life.
A traumatic experience that is not integrated will KEEP telling the body to be continuously hyper-vigilant for perceived/imagined danger and that our ability to survive, is uncertain at best. The relief we experience from addictions or coping mechanisms become more and more short lived and unsatisfactory. Chronic, ever-present stress makes it impossible to feel relaxed. It is exhausting!
The Rewind Technique is a tried-and-tested approach to treating PTSD and Phobias. For many years, severe anxiety-based conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder or phobias were considered treatable only through long, painful exposure therapy, and in some cases, not at all.
Now, thankfully, we have access to a comfortable, effective treatment that can greatly reduce intensity, and even remove traumatic or phobic symptoms quickly (see 1).
Rewind does not need you to retell the traumatic incident(s) or even know what happened (abuse amnesia). Many people with trauma or phobias have been treated using approaches which drag them back through the experience again; a highly unpleasant thing to have to do. Not with Rewind. It is protective in nature. In my sessions, we only address issues that you prioritize. We work together as a team with what you are comfortable sharing.
So if anxiety is overwhelming your life and you are seeking lasting positive change, please give me a call/text on 508-571-8765. I can answer any questions you may have. I began seeing Cheryl in January 2020 after going through a heart wrenching breakup. 11 months and about 5 sessions later, I feel like a completely new person. Aside from the breakup, traumatic experiences from childhood that I'd been conscious of, but hadn't realized how much they'd affected me...began to bubble up to the surface.
Cheryl gave me the healing energy and awareness to finally release them. I feel so much lighter and carefree now. I smile a lot more too! I feel so safe and comforted going to Cheryl...her presence feels like being wrapped in a reassuring hug. I'm especially impressed with her Hypnotic Reiki...it is an extremely relaxing and therapeutic process that allows me to slip into a dream state and feel completely taken care of. I trust Cheryl tremendously and her services have contributed greatly to the progress I've experienced over this past year.
