If you have been struggling for a while with painful memories, unhelpful habits, ruminative anxious thoughts, substance abuse or feel stuck in a particular area of your personal life or business - know that it isn't always your fault or that you are not trying hard enough. Hypnosis can help!
I can help you
In my sessions, I put YOU in charge. We only address issues that you prioritize and you are free to accept or not, any suggestions that are made.
I SPECIALIZE in hypnosis for processing trauma (Phobias, PTSD, C-PTSD). Let me treat your C/PTSD or phobia comfortably and quickly. A traumatic experience occurs when the survival/safety of the individual is threatened or the threat on the life of those near and dear is observed. A traumatic experience that is not integrated will KEEP telling the body of the individual that his ability to deal with survival is uncertain. To deal with the anxiety, the person often develops addiction or other unhelpful behaviors in order to try to find positive expression.
The Rewind Technique is a tried-and-tested approach to treating PTSD and phobias. For many years, severe anxiety-based conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder or phobias were considered treatable only through long, painful exposure therapy, and in some cases, not at all.
Now, thankfully, we have access to a comfortable, effective treatment that can greatly reduce, and even remove, traumatic or phobic symptoms quickly. Research results in the FAQs below.
Rewind does not need you to go over the traumatic incident(s) again. Many people with trauma or phobias have been treated using approaches which drag them back through the experience again; a highly unpleasant thing to have to do. This does not happen with the Rewind, and I do not in fact, even need to know the details of what happened to you.
So if you suffer from PTSD or phobias please give me a call/text on 508-571-8765 and I can tell you anything else you need to know. I began seeing Cheryl in January 2020 after going through a heart wrenching breakup. 11 months and about 5 sessions later, I feel like a completely new person. Aside from the breakup, traumatic experiences from childhood that I'd been conscious of, but hadn't realized how much they'd affected me...began to bubble up to the surface.
Cheryl gave me the healing energy and awareness to finally release them. I feel so much lighter and carefree now. I smile a lot more too! I feel so safe and comforted going to Cheryl...her presence feels like being wrapped in a reassuring hug. I'm especially impressed with her Hypnotic Reiki...it is an extremely relaxing and therapeutic process that allows me to slip into a dream state and feel completely taken care of. I trust Cheryl tremendously and her services have contributed greatly to the progress I've experienced over this past year.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What does Hypnosis feel like?
The way people typically describe the feeling of being hypnotized is to be in a calm, physically, and mentally relaxed state, in which one is able to focus deeply on what one is being guided to think about.
Why do you mix somatic (of the body) modalities like Reiki and cognitive (of the mind) modalities with Hypnosis?
In the image, our active focused brain works on the Beta frequency level. Researchers find that healing takes place at alpha and below. Reiki, massage, acupuncture usually gently relaxes a person to the alpha level. Hypnosis can easily reach delta and more deeper levels lowering the stress response (Ohio State University study*) and boosting immunity (Washington State University study, Pullman**). It’s now well established that your thoughts and feelings can have a profound impact on your physical health. Mixing both is taking advantage of the strong mind-body connection to bring about change and homeostasis naturally.

Why are habits so hard to break?
Habit are ingrained patterns we follow that at one time worked well. Over time they may become automatic and unhelpful. But since it is subconscious we have to make a change at that level. The brain uses 25% of calories we consume each day to work. In order to be efficient it automates a lot of processes. Habit breaking will require conscious effort which is not energy efficient and hence may need more assistance.
How will I know if I am hypnotized?
People have varying degrees of internal focus from light altered perception to deep trance to somnambulistic sleep. They are all ok. We go through trance (hypnosis) states naturally many times a day involuntarily, when we drive and think about something else or are engrossed in a debate or a video game. Trust that your hypnotist is trained to check for signs and will take more time if required for you to achieve an optimal trance state.
What if I cannot get hypnotized?
In the hypnotist's chair we go voluntarily into an altered state, so, in that sense, all a hypnotist is, is the facilitator who induces the state we call focused relaxation. However, a skillful hypnotist can take you to levels much deeper than you could usually attain on your own (be it involuntarily or not) and their training and experience determines what occurs whilst you are in the hypnotic state. Sometimes if you are excessively drugged or drunk, rare psychoses, mental impairment can impede the process but most of these can be overcome by an experienced hypnotist. Sometimes it’s just a therapeutic mismatch, personality or trust issue.
Has the Rewind technique been studied and tested?
Although research into the Rewind Technique is still in its infancy, a study carried out by the Human Givens Institute in the UK showed the following results:
Study size: 30 people
A four-year study carried out within NOVA (part of the Barnardo’s charity) showed similarly impressive results:
Study size: 47 people, 57% of whom treated with Rewind alone.

Study size: 30 people
- 40% of clients rated rewind as extremely successful.
- 53% rated it as successful.
- 7% rated it as acceptable.
- Prior to rewind, on average clients rated their well being as 12 out of 50.
- Seven to 10 days after treatment, the average score was 30.3 out of 50.
- Three to six months later, the average score was 32.2.
A four-year study carried out within NOVA (part of the Barnardo’s charity) showed similarly impressive results:
Study size: 47 people, 57% of whom treated with Rewind alone.
- 26 would have met the criteria for PTSD.
- After treatment none of the forty-seven people treated met the criteria for PTSD.
- There was also a significant reduction of all sub symptoms associated with PTSD, five categories had zero reports after treatment.
